Based on the allocation of stands, gates, check-in counters and reclaim belts the passenger flow inside the terminal can be simulated in a very realistic way. Allocation changes are trough the interconnection of the RMS and the simulation modules of DISPO quickly reflected in the simulation results.

The passenger flow simulation is defined by resource allocation scenarios, process and passenger characteristics and terminal layout.

Different profiles can be designed to simulate exactly the show-up patterns of the passenger, as well as web check-in, business and transfer information.

A graphical designer enables to create an exact model of the terminal layout.

Different ressources are defined based on a node model. The information provided by the RMS will be available automatically.

All possible ways, walking and dwell times, throughput rates and maximum accepted waiting times can be entered.

Once the terminal model is entered the passenger flow simulation can be started.

  • dynamic visualisation (videos can be generated) of passengers through the whole terminal showing ocupation, saturation and queuing situation for every ressource during the whole simulated time.

For each node in the model the

  • number of waiting pax
  • waiting time
  • level of service

is calculated for the whole analyzed period and can be represented as a chart.

Dispo simulates the actual situation and calculates the demand of resources for a defined quality level, e.g. how many security check points are necessary to ensure a defined maximum waiting time.

It is possible to anylyse only a part of the terminal or the whole terminal.
